Volvo officials have prepared a demonstration to show journalists how the system to prevent the front collision of the new S60 works. Contrary to the expectations, the demonstration was a failure because the Swedish model hit the barrier prepared by the organizers.

Volvo officials held a press conference to present the new S60, and within it, they prepared a demonstration to see how the new safety systems developed by Swedish work. To demonstrate how the system to prevent the front collision works (Collision Warning with Auto Brake), the Swedish model should go to an obstacle with 35 km/h and when the collision became imminent car had to brake.

But, for the surprise of officials and journalists that were there, the Swedish model stopped in the rear bumper of the obstacle prepared by the organizers. Volvo officials said that the vehicle didn’t breaked appropriate due to the appearance of a human error during the preparations and due to technical problems with the car battery.
