I love the way Audi plays with its upcoming SUVs, first revealed in concept forms, like the Q8, seen officially at the 2017 NAIAS, in Detroit, back in January, and the all-new Q8 Sport Concept, which is the hardcore variant recently introduced at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
Speaking of its design, the new Q8 Sport Concept basically keeps the same design language that Audi has adopted on its latest models. And even if it is quite hard updating an already futuristic concept like the Q8, the German based carmaker did so with the Sport variant.
As we can depict from the photos below, the new Audi Q8 Sport Concept comes with the orange tone which replaces the Bombay Blue wrap seen on the Q8, adding as well redesigned front fascia with intakes and honeycomb pattern on the grille. These replace the vertical slats, while the fenders and the exhaust tips have also been modified for a more aggressive look.
By the way it looks at the exterior, the cabin predicts the presence of a wide array of technological advancements, the model also coming with the Audi`s Virtual Cockpit as standard, adding as well other touchscreens on the center console.
Under the hood, once the Audi Q8 Sport will make it into production line as the SQ8, it will likely come with a new engine, in the shape of a 3.0-liter TFSI six-cylinder engine hooked to a hybrid system and electric compressor.
We are looking here at a total output of 476 horsepower and impressive 700 Nm of torque, enough to deliver a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds, at a top speed of 275 km/h. the German carmaker also claims that the model comes with a staggering range of 1,200 km.
