There are certainly a very wide range of products that industry giant Honda offers to the general public, not just cars and motorcycles.
And yet, when I saw their latest iteration, the MC-ß, my mind immediately went to another car, namely the Renault Twizy.
But that was just the first impression, and a few seconds later, certain elements started to differentiate the two vehicles. Further more, while the Twizy is out and about, Honda is still fiddling about with the MC-ß. In fact, there is no certainty that this will actually reach production phase.
Also, as the name would suggest, this is Honda’s second stab at the Micro Commuter. With this installment, the MC-ß gets an 80 km range, with a recharge time of 3 hours using a 200 volt source. While it’s doubtful two larger than average people would fit into the Honda MC-ß, there are two seats installed, and there is even the option to swap the back seat for a couple of smaller ones, for kids.
