The Japanese luxury car manufacturer has prepared a special race car for the Japanese event Super GT. The race car has similar specs like the Acura NSX and Nissan GT-R, in the premier touring car series.
As the car is based on the new unveiled RC F and it is officially called RC F GT 500, it was first shown at the 2014 Tokyo Auto Salon at the beginning of the year.
The race car was put to the test at the Suzuka Circuit and now it is well prepared for the competition ahead, with its debuting at the opening round of the 2014 Super GT series, at the Okayama International Circuit on the 6th of April.
No further specs are revealed, but it is expected that the RC F GT 500 would sport a series turbocharged 2.0-liter engine mounted up front with a rear-wheel drive mated with a sequential gearbox. The power is limited to 500 metric horsepower.
The RC F GT 500 will be competing under the Lexus Racing Logo.
