Audi will be very busy this year, as it will develop plenty of new technologies which will be fitted on its upcoming SUV fleet.
The Volkswagen Group`s main subsidiary will be first launching the new A8, a massive and exceptional SUV fully-tweaked with plenty of technology, all part of the company`s Level 3 automated driving capability system. This means that it will be able to operate all alone at speed up to 60 km/h.
According to a new report, the Audi A8 in its newest form will be arriving sometime towards the third quarter of the year, riding on the company`s new MLB Evo platform, the same one also underpinning other new high-end models within the Group.
Visually, as seen in the couple of recent renderings, the new model will come with an extremely futuristic design, highlighted by new front-end, massive hexagonal grille and much more.
Mechanically, the all-new Audi A8 will also feature advanced driving capabilities and handling, all leading to increase performance and better fuel-efficiency.
The good news don’t stop here, as the German carmaker is also planning the introduction of other SUVs on the market, like the new A5 and Q5, both standing on the same advanced and lightweight platform. The company`s plans also include the arrival of the A7 four-door coupe, shortly followed by the new SQ8 by 2018.
Finally, the upcoming A4 SUV is also on the way, the model becoming the direct competitor from the likes of the BMW X4 and the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe. Stay tuned for more details on Audi`s new SUV fleet.
