Not so long ago, Tesla finally revealed their long awaited entry level sedan, which is set to compete with cars like the BMW 3 Series or Mercedes C Class.

But what will Tesla do beyond that? Well, in a recent press release, Elon Musk, Tesla CEO, decided to share a little information.

First off, he was quick to dismiss the possibility of also going for hybrid solutions. It seems Tesla will remain a full electric car manufacturer, and I don’t see why not, as it has worked rather well so far. While electric technology is not there quite yet, Tesla has more than made up for it in excellent service and presentation.

And this bring us to the more important point of the release. It seems that Tesla is rather optimistic about the future of electric drive, and hints towards a car that will be able to manage a 500 miles range with only one charge. That is rather ambitious, considering that their flagship, the Model S, is only good for about 265. Unfortunately, the new tech will come with added cost, but still, it is a step in the right direction. Let’s just hope this will actually hold true.
